Kvadrat Textiles by Interior Application

Material and installation criteria for spaces with different traffic, light, care and acoustic needs.

Hospitality workplace residential and cultural interior textiles

High turnover, cleaning, food and beverage exposure, seam geometry, color consistency and replacement cycles influence upholstery selection. Curtains add drape, fullness, light and track conditions.

Trade-off: denser or treated cloth can change handle, breathability, cleaning and environmental profile. Test the specified construction and maintenance route.

Acoustic curtains and panels depend on textile airflow, fullness, air gap, backing, mounting, room geometry and frequency range. A fabric-only statement cannot predict every installed result.

Trade-off: acoustic configuration can affect light, view, space, cleaning and fire requirements.

Comfort, pile direction, seam, cushion shape, pilling, abrasion, light, rubbing and cleaning should be balanced against texture and color.

Trade-off: a higher abrasion figure does not alone establish suitability; seam design, soiling and user behavior remain relevant.

Large drapery drops, sightlines, stage lighting, flame methods, maintenance access and lot continuity shape the specification.

Trade-off: backing and treatments can affect weight, drape, color, acoustic behavior and end-of-life options.

Results for one color, backing, finish, installation or production lot do not automatically cover another. Applicable codes and finished installation evidence remain project-specific.

Project teams should define the consequence of failure and the inspection route. Pile shading, seam slippage, light fade, pilling, cleaning marks, drapery distortion or insufficient acoustic effect require different samples and methods. A high abrasion value cannot replace seam, cleaning or installation review.

Commercial comparison uses the same usable width, repeat, backing, finish, test scope, custom color minimum, packaging and destination basis. Mock-up approval identifies the textile and installation details it represents, while production acceptance checks the ordered lot separately.
